The Halton Equity Diversity Roundtable relies on three working groups to help accomplish our mission. Working group members help us plan and implement HEDR programs and services.
Knowledge transfer & Exchange
A Working Group of the HEDR Membership, the working group identifies learning opportunities for the HEDR Memberships and assists in the planning of anti-oppression workshops, membership meetings, and the annual EDI conference.
membership OUTREACH & ENGAGEMENT
This committee focuses on initiatives to outreach and engage with the HEDR Memberships. This includes our digital engagement strategy, newsletter, networking opportunities and evaluation.
knowledge development & procurement
This committee collects information on promising practices and activities in other communities. They also Develop resources related to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Finally, the resource development committee oversees the Diversity Digest Members Magazine.
ADVOCACY
COMMITTEE
Comprised of passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds, this committee focuses on advocating for systemic change, raising awareness about social issues, and working collaboratively with local stakeholders to create a more inclusive community. Through proactive initiatives, education, and engagement, the committee strives to address barriers, amplify marginalized voices, and drive tangible progress toward a more equitable society for all in Halton.
Comprised of volunteers from diverse backgrounds and expertise, this committee orchestrates innovative and effective fundraising initiatives to ensure the Roundtable's sustainability and ability to drive positive change in Halton's communities. With a focus on inclusivity and equity, they collaborate closely to cultivate partnerships, organize events, and implement fundraising strategies that champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of their work.
