Royal Botanical Gardens,
Burlington

Address: 680 Plains Rd W, Burlington

For over eight decades, Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) has been dedicated to connecting people with the plant world. This work not only highlights the beauty, diversity, and importance of plants but also positions RBG as a leader in the urgent movement to preserve plant species, habitats, and the planet as a whole.

As part of the Niagara Escarpment UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, RBG plays a critical role in the region by protecting and preserving over 2,100 acres of environmentally sensitive areas. This includes more than 2,000 acres of nature sanctuaries and over 100 acres of cultivated gardens and an arboretum. These efforts enhance the ecosystem from Lake Ontario to the Niagara Escarpment, promote a balanced relationship between people and nature, and create natural spaces where wildlife can thrive.

RBG also serves as an educator and experience provider, offering cultural, artistic, and culinary experiences across its extensive network of gardens and natural areas.
