About the event

The Diverse Abilities Symposium, centered around the theme of Belonging, seeks to foster deeper understanding and inspire meaningful action. Community Living North Halton (CLNH) offers a unique opportunity for professionals across the community to engage in a thought-provoking, interactive, reflective, and empowering session highlighting what it means to have a developmental disability or to be neurodivergent. The session will include powerful testimonials from individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, inviting attendees to reflect on the true meaning of belonging.


Guided small group discussions will provide participants with the chance to explore developmental needs, neurodiversity and intersectionality, address the stigmas faced by these individuals, and collaboratively develop solutions to promote inclusivity within their communities.


A dynamic panel discussion will feature diverse perspectives from various CLNH staff, moderated to highlight key insights on the challenges faced, available support systems, and advocacy efforts. The session will conclude with an interactive Q&A, allowing…
