L'Halton Equity and Diversity Roundtable (HEDR) è un'iniziativa e una collaborazione a livello di comunità di organizzazioni, istituzioni, gruppi, imprese e singoli membri della comunità che si impegnano a costruire inclusione sistemica ed equità ad Halton.

​The time commitment is approximately 3 hours per month.

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight.

  • Approve policies, programs, and budgets.

  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Advocate for HEDR and promote its mission within the community.

  • Evaluate the performance of the organization and its leadership.

  • Attend and participate actively in meetings. Must be able to attend 10 meetings per year, 60 - 90 minutes in length.

  • Serve on committees or task forces as needed.

  • Contribute expertise and resources to further HEDR’s goals.

  • Uphold the integrity of the organization through ethical conduct.

  • Participate in fundraising and networking efforts.

Board Recruitment and Outreach. Applications can be submitted.

JANUARY:

Deadline is Jan 17 @ 5:00 PM ET.
Candidate applications will be reviewed and interviews will be scheduled.

FEBRUARY:

Confirmation of candidates.

MARCH:

Invitations to new Board Members.

Instructions for Submitting Your HEDR Board Application 

Thank you for your interest in applying for the HEDR Board! To allow for flexibility and creativity, we invite applicants to submit their application in a format that best represents their skills, passion, and personality. You can either submit your application through the form below or through one of the other creative options. Below are detailed instructions for submitting your application through a video submission or another creative approach (e.g., audio, presentation, portfolio).

Option 1: Video Submission
 

  1. Introduce Yourself (1–2 Minutes)

    • Share your name, pronouns (if comfortable), and a brief overview of your background (professional or personal).

    • Explain why you are interested in joining HEDR’s Board.

  2. Highlight Your Skills and Experiences (2–3 Minutes)

    • Discuss the skills, expertise, or experiences you bring to the board.

    • Share examples of your involvement in equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives or similar work.

  3. Share Your Vision for HEDR (1–2 Minutes)

    • Explain how you see yourself contributing to HEDR’s mission and impact.

    • Provide one idea or initiative you would like to explore as a board member.

  4. Tips for Video Submission

    • Keep the video between 5–7 minutes.

    • Speak clearly and authentically—this is an opportunity to show your passion!

    • Record in a well-lit, quiet space.

    • Save your video as a common format (e.g., MP4, MOV).

  5. Submission Instructions

    • Upload your video to a file-sharing platform (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer) and ensure the link is accessible.

    • Email the link to board@hedroundtable.com with the subject line: HEDR Board Application – [Your Name].

 

Option 2: Audio Submission
 

  1. Follow the same structure as the video submission:

    • Introduce yourself.

    • Highlight your skills and experiences.

    • Share your vision for HEDR.

  2. Tips for Audio Submission:

    • Keep the recording between 5–7 minutes.

    • Use clear, quality audio (a smartphone or basic microphone works fine).

    • Save the file as a common audio format (e.g., MP3, WAV).

  3. Submission Instructions:

    • Email the audio file or a shareable link to board@hedroundtable.com with the subject line: HEDR Board Application – [Your Name].
       

Option 3: Creative Submission (Presentation, Portfolio, or Other)
 

  1. Presentation:

    • Create a PowerPoint or PDF presentation that includes the following:

      • Slide 1: Your introduction (background and why you’re applying).

      • Slide 2: Skills, experiences, and examples of DEI-related work.

      • Slide 3: Your vision for HEDR and potential ideas.

  2. Portfolio:

    • Submit a portfolio showcasing past work or achievements relevant to HEDR’s mission. Include a brief written or recorded explanation for context.

  3. Other Creative Ideas:

    • Written story, infographic, or artwork that represents your connection to DEI and your vision for HEDR.

  4. Submission Instructions:

    • Email your submission or a shareable link to board@hedroundtabe.com with the subject line: HEDR Board Application – [Your Name].
       

General Notes for All Submissions
 

  • Be authentic and let your passion for HEDR’s mission shine.

  • Ensure your submission clearly addresses the following:

    • Why you want to join HEDR’s Board.

    • The skills and experiences you bring.

    • Your vision for HEDR’s growth and impact.
       

The deadline to apply is Friday, January 17 at 5:00 PM ET.
