Info sull'evento
Join us for a unique educational experience, mindfully exploring the topics of grief, loss and trauma through an intersectional and anti-oppressive lens. These often taboo topics are integral parts of what make us human. However, without lived experience, we may not consider how grief, loss and trauma are deeply interconnected with systems of power, privilege and oppression. As a participant, you are invited to consider how these experiences are influenced by factors like racism, colonization and other forms of systemic oppression.
Learning Objectives:
· Understanding of intersectionality and its relevance to grief and trauma
· Identify various types of trauma i.e. vicarious, developmental, generational, historical
· Increased self-awareness and empathy for self and others
· Somatic practices that can be used on your own
· Practical implications for caring professionals, community workers, leadership, etc.
