2025 HEDR IDEA Leadership Conference Scholarship Program

Objective:
To provide financial assistance to individuals and organizations who are committed to advancing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in their communities. This scholarship aims to ensure the conference is accessible to those who may face financial barriers.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • HEDR Members: Open to current members of HEDR who demonstrate a commitment to advancing EDI.

  • Non-Members: Individuals and organizations with financial need who are dedicated to furthering EDI initiatives in their community.

 

*Selection Priority: Priority will be given to individuals from underrepresented groups and smaller organizations with limited financial resources.

 

Application Process:

  1. Online Application Form: Applicants will be required to complete an online application, including:

    • Personal or organizational details

    • A statement of commitment to EDI, including past initiatives or projects

    • Explanation of how attending the conference will support their EDI work

  2. Deadline: Applications will be open for a specified period, with a clear submission deadline.

  3. Selection Process: A committee will review applications based on:

    • Alignment with the conference’s EDI goals

    • Demonstrated need for financial assistance

    • Potential impact on the applicant’s ability to advance EDI work after the conference

  4. Notification: Successful applicants will be notified by email, and they will receive details on how to register for the conference.

 

Scholarship Benefits:

  • Full Scholarship: Covers the full cost of conference registration, including access to all sessions, meals, and activities.

  • Partial Scholarship: Covers a portion of the registration fee based on the applicant’s financial need.

 

Additional Considerations:

  • Applicants will be expected to submit a short post-conference report outlining how the knowledge gained from the conference will be applied to further EDI efforts in their community or organization.
